We also adhere to the ethical guidelines of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) in the collection, storage, and disclosure of personal and health information.

  • Your personal information is kept confidential and will not be used, sold, rented, or disclosed for any purpose other than delivering psychological services, except where:

  • You provide written consent to share information (e.g., with another health professional)

  • There is a risk of serious harm to yourself or another person

  • There is suspected or disclosed child abuse or neglect

  • A serious crime has been disclosed

  • Your file is subpoenaed by a court of law

  • Disclosure is required by law or regulatory bodies

Accessing and Updating Personal Information

Requests will be acknowledged within 14 days. Nixon Psychology will take reasonable steps to provide access or correct information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Minimal administrative fees may apply for providing access to records.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any amendments will take effect immediately upon being posted on the Nixon Psychology website at www.nixonpsychology.com.au. By continuing to use our services after any changes, you will be deemed to have accepted the revised policy.
